This was a really tough game and in all honesty the final score flatters us but we have to be happy to get through to round 3.

The condition were bad which did not suite the Celtic backs but the forwards thrived in the tight especially in the second half. Celtic were delighted to maintain their unbeaten run home at this season.

Celtic scored 3 cracking tries.

The first came when George Richards kicked a penalty to touch in the visitors 22 and the whole pack plus some backs drove Chis Pound over the try line.

The second was a result of good handling by the backs which gave wing Rhys Cahill the ball close to the touch line. He beat two defenders to touch down unopposed.

The third try was a surprise when the visitors tried to run the ball out of defence and Callum Power cleverly intercepted and sprinted over under the posts.
