Maesteg Celtic U13s were home against the Valley Ravens U13s today and were looking for their first ever win against them! Celtic started off really well, dominating possession and territory and playing a great tactical game to suit the very wet weather conditions. 
Front five players - James Williams, Dylan James, Amelio Pulverenti, Curtis Smith, Jackson Treloar, Mathew Adams, Logan Swain and Tye Williams all ran hard ensuring that Celtic were on the front foot.

Back row - Dan Morgan, Troy Sheran, Morgan Davies and Mason Watkin were ferocious in both defence and attack. This allowed half backs - Liam Wyatt and George Richards to be creative and pull the strings behind. Centres Corey Thomas and Ethan Morris were devastating with ball in hand and the wide players Rob Price, Iwan Evans, Rhys Cahill, Cai Davies and Tommy Griffiths all added great running ability to the game. 
This combined to make the final score of Maesteg Celtic U13s 66 - Valley Ravens U13s  0. 

Maesteg Celtic couldn't have hoped for a better start to the season, 2 games in and over 100 points scored - 0 points conceded. Next week we play Baglan away! The coaches will be hoping for more of the same from the boys!
