Maesteg Celtic Under 7s had a tough outing this morning and lost 11-8 to a very confident and well organised Porthcawl team. Porthcawl opened the scoring with a well worked team try but Kayden answered quickly by crossing the whitewash to even the score. Celtics youngest team played with exceptional discipline and their determination was superb throughout. It was clear to see that defence has been a core part of training in previous weeks. 
Louie who has played less than a handful of games showed some brilliant running skills and was very unlucky not to get on the score sheet. 
Ioan as always shone and scored six of Celtics eight tries. 
Caelan is improving week after week with his confidence growing. 
This week’s player of the week was Harris who was superb in defence and is proving to be a nuisance to opposition teams as he is everywhere.
