Maesteg Celtic 2nds continued their excellent run of wins when they visited Llantwit Major. The Celtic pack was on top form once again, with fine performances from, prop Nathan Jenkins, second row Mark Wilkins and flankers Iestin Jeffries and Nathan Adams.

Llantwit opened the scoring when their flanker slipped a tackle and crossed near the posts. Prop Nathan Jenkins evened the score for his first touchdown from a forward drive. He then picked up the ball and charged down the tramlines to touch down in the corner for his second. Then second row Mathew Jones took the ball from a ruck and drove over carrying three men with him.

Celtics fourth try came as a result of a 15 metre drive which gave Scott Lyons the score. Celtics last try was their best. The forwards won the ball on their 22 and gave it to the backs who took it to the half way. The forwards then took it on through multiple phases before Mathew Jones burst clear from a ruck and ran 10 metres to score. The Llantwit team did not give up and ended the game with a converted try. Celtic outside half Rhodri Thomas kicked 2 conversions.

Prop Nathan Jenkins was awarded MoM
